Albinen

Albinen lies on a southern slope at the entry to the Dala valley and a road connects it to the thermal spa of Leukerbad and the village of Leuk.

The compact scattered village captivates with its impressive location on a steep slope high over the Dala gorge. It appears to be glued to the slope and thus differs from most of the mountain villages in the region that lie on a sloping terrace. The wooden houses are staggered up the slope in a typical regional mixture of residential and utility buildings.
